Hey ya’ll or in So-Cal we say, Hey Dude! Lol I’m so humbled to be “Mom of the Month.” I’m a wife and mother to three beautiful girls. I am so blessed to have found Fit 4 mom.
My fitness sidekick, Elena, was close to 3 months when I saw Amy at Bailey Lake. With my first two kids, I was depressed in the beginning stages of motherhood, and I knew I wanted to try my best to not feel that way with Elena. I took a chance with FIT4MOM because I knew I needed to get out and be with other moms. Ooo and my fitness…it’s always been a hot mess!
Amy’s enthusiasm and all the Instructors encouraging words reeled me in. The classes are as challenging as what you put into them. They meet you where you’re at which I love. Every momma is at a different level according to what their body needs, and that’s okay.
Elena loves to stroll and go to class with me. She is like her momma. We like to get out of the house lol Being with other moms, is just so good for the soul too. We’re a little community that supports and loves on one another.
Ever since I started FIT4MOM, I am more energized, stronger, and happier. I’ve made some awesome momma friends. I don’t know what I’d do without this village!
Where are you originally from? From, “So-Cal” baby! (Southern California)
Tell us about your little workout buddy!
My third girl, Elena, is my sidekick all day every day. My two other girls are in school, Rosalyn, 7, and Isabel, 5. Elena is currently going on 10 months. She has the bestest smile to cheer momma on.
How did you meet your husband? Ummm let’s just say I met him at the Barracks in California. He was stationed there and is a Marine. He served two tours in Iraq.
What’s your favorite family activity? We love to go places! Currently, we re-did a pop out trailer and are going to be adventuring all summer. Ooo and pizza/movie night on Fridays.
Tell us a little about your career—pre or post baby. I’m a former high school Social Studies Teacher. I took this school year off to be with baby Elena. I’m enjoying my fit4mom classes and morning Bible study classes.
How did you find out about FIT4MOM? Baby was close to 3 months and it was my first outdoor walk with her. We went to Bailey Lake, and I saw Amy there teaching a class. The rest is history. I mean… who can fight off Amy’s alluring energy? Lol
What is your favorite part about FIT4MOM? Oooo there is just soo much! But my #1 most favorite thing, is being encouraged in fitness and in mom life by the instructors and other moms.
What has inspired you the most since being a part of FIT4MOM? My kids! I have so much more energy than I’ve ever had. The morning classes I do just fuels me the rest of the day. I just feel better and have way more energy for my kiddos. It makes my heart happy!
Do you have any big plans for the upcoming Holiday season? Summer is coming up, and I’m all about that travel life!
What is your proudest moment as a mom? Just the love for my kiddos and being able to keep up with them.
Have you ever thought, gosh I can’t do this, and what brings you to see the good?
Fitness has always been a struggle for me. I hate working out…Always had… until Fit4mom. Running is a struggle for me. The motivation the instructors give made me want to try harder and the other moms too. I can definitely see the difference from when I started until now. My endurance has grown.
How has becoming a mother changed you? I definitely have more patience lol especially after #3…. I just go with the flow.
What advice would you give a new mom? Go with the flow! Not everything is going to go as planned or in a schedule. It’s okay! Tomorrow is a new day! God picked YOU to be that babies momma, so let go, God will do the rest.
