This village has guided and supported me as a first time mom, toddler mom, pregnant mom, and 2 under 2 mom! As a first time mom, you eased my anxieties while I learned to be a mom. As the girls get older, I love sharing the funny moments that come with littles and getting hot tips on family entertainment. I love getting to know you and your kids. ☀️💛😎
Tell us about your little workout buddies!
Bitsy (2.5 yr) is the best hype girl! She is cheering for me and all the mama’s during workouts! Her favorite thing is the stretching and song at the end of class. Joanna Joy (6 mo) is my chill snuggle baby. She is happiest in my arms or baby wearing.
How did you meet your husband?
My roommate met him in a group setting, called me at work and said, “I just met your future husband! And he has a brother for me!” She didn’t marry his brother, but she was right about us! Ice is my very favorite person in the world and best friend.
What’s your favorite family activity?
Playing outside!!
Tell us a little about your career—pre or post baby. Pre babies, I was a special education teacher, then an HR/accounting clerk. Now, it is my cherished privilege to be a stay at home mom. I am so grateful for this season of life.
How did you find out about FIT4MOM?
My sister in law was a F4M instructor in north Fort Worth. She actually introduced our fearless leader, Amy, to F4M too!
What is your favorite part about FIT4MOM?
I feel mentally and physically refreshed after every class. I never regret dragging myself to a stroller class even when I’ve had a sleepless night. We love the sunshine, fresh air, movement, and community.
What has inspired you the most since being a part of FIT4MOM?
While we have motherhood in common, this is such a diverse group of wonderful women. We have different beliefs, perspectives, and parenting styles but are always respectful and inclusive. In this day and age, that’s pretty special.
Have you ever thought, gosh I can’t do this, and what brings you to see the good?
My relationship with God and faith that He created me for this moment. I hope I’m always encouraging others to know Jesus and his unfailing love.
What advice would you give a new mom?
Give yourself grace. Trust yourself more than the blogs and books. You know your baby better than anyone.
And…. If they’re still fussy, take em outside or put em in water. Sunshine or a bath is like a reset button.
