When I decided to come give Fit4mom a try, I was terrified. I have known Amy a long time and knew I would be welcomed, but I was so afraid that I wouldn’t “fit in”. I was worried that I would be too out of shape after having my daughter, or that I wouldn’t know how to make friends with other moms since I barely had any friends with kids. But I had the complete opposite experience!! I was so welcomed and felt loved from the moment I walked up to the pavilion at Chisenhall. You all got to know us and we’re so real about motherhood that I just couldn’t resist! I signed up for the teacher pass before I even drove away and never looked back. With the world in lockdown last summer, I was able to still socialize and work out with amazing women, and Reid made friends and had so much fun. I will forever be grateful to this village. You have all supported me in motherhood, through medical trials, and in the mundane day to day. I am so thankful to Amy for creating this village that we all love!

Amy and I have been friends for many years, since my first year of teaching when we worked together in Frisco. I found out from her when she opened Fit4Mom Burleson-Crowley.
What is your favorite part about FIT4MOM?
The relationships built with the other moms. This village has been so supportive and helped me through both the beautiful and the ugly of navigating motherhood.
What has inspired you the most since being a part of FIT4MOM?
How these moms are all willing to do whatever it takes to help each other. It has inspired me to be more servant hearted and to meet others where they are at.
Do you have any big plans this month?
Just anxiously awaiting our twins to make their arrival in the next month or so!
What is your proudest moment as a mom?
My proudest moment as a mom constantly changed. Every time Reid learns something new, shows her manners, or succeeds at something, I have my new proudest moment. I’m always so proud of her.
Have you ever thought, gosh I can’t do this, and what brings you to see the good?
Yes, I have thought that, especially in the height of the COVID shutdown, but honestly Fit4mom helped me see the good and that I wasn’t the “bad mom” I thought I was. Instead, from the moment I started coming I was uplifted and empowered. They showed me that I am a great mom
How has becoming a mother changed you?
Becoming a mother has changed everything about me. I’ve learned so much patience, selflessness and showed me more joy than I could have ever imagined.
What advice would you give a new mom?
Soak it all in. Don’t try to be “picture perfect”, your child will show you how to be the perfect mom for them. And your baby(ies) will teach you more than you will teach them.
